Two exciting new features were released this evening to all services within the DCAMS+PLUS product family. These features include:
- The ability to interpolate the expiration date of an ID document based on the date the ID document was issued and that specific document's length of validity.
- Further, the system now has the ability to capture the issue date of a document from other points on the ID. For example, document number or parts of the MRZ may include the issue date which can be used in the case that the OCR process fails.
More Details
- The first ID that will be covered with this new feature is all versions of the French Identification Card.
- We believe that the above changes may increase success rates for our clients verifying IDs in France by ~10% points.
- More document coverage to activate these features will be added in the near-term and communicated here.
