On November 3rd 2021 at 17:56 UTC Veratad detected that all queries to the system were resulting in a non-response and timing out. Veratad quickly identified that the root cause of this issue was with their hosting provider and a loss of power to both firewalls. Veratad contacted the hosting provider, who was already aware of the issue and recovering the site. The firewalls were restored and the system was accessible at 18:17 UTC.

Since the incident, Veratad has communicated with their hosting provider and has put into place a plan to ensure this type of issue does not occur again.
